A bit like in the movies, it’s not really Christmas if you don’t go ice skating, but where to go to find ice rinks in Milan? Here are a few:
Portrait
In the heart of the Quadrilateral, the cloisters of Portrait Milano are transformed into an elegant winter spot thanks to “The Gift: Portrait of a Winter’s Tale,” with a romantic rink on real ice framed by arcades and Christmas lights. The rink, measuring about 15×15 meters, is located at Corso Venezia 11 and is open daily from Nov. 26, 2025, to Jan. 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with admission for 15 euros including skates, a donation entirely donated to Fondazione Mente in support of children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
City of Lombardy Square

Under the Palazzo Lombardia, inside Europe’s largest covered square, one of Milan’s most beloved winter attractions returns again this year: the 02 Ice ice skating rink. Totally covered and sheltered from the weather, it is the ideal place to spend pleasant moments in the company of friends, family or your sweetheart, immersed in the magic of Christmas.
With its 600 square meters of surface area, the 02 Ice is the largest indoor skating rink in the city and aims to surpass last season’s record numbers, which had more than 40,000 visitors. The facility will remain open until January 18, offering young and old alike the chance to experience the magic of ice in the heart of Milan, under the twinkling lights of the Palazzo Lombardia.
Village of Wonders

Hidden among the trees of the Indro Montanelli Gardens, the Villaggio delle Meraviglie ice rink is a little world apart, where the noise of the city remains outside and only the rustle of the blades on the ice can be heard. Between dimmed lights, Christmas decorations and a covered, heated part that embraces skaters on colder days (until Jan. 6), it almost feels like slipping into a winter postcard.
Winter at the Mysterious Baths
At Bagni Misteriosi, winter completely changes the face of the historic pool, which until Jan. 6 is transformed into a scenic ice skating rink in the heart of Porta Romana. Lights, installations and vintage overlooks create a perfect set for photos and stories, with an atmosphere with attention to detail reminiscent of winter spots in Europe’s biggest capitals.
Villa Litta

Also for the 2025/2026 season, the magic of Christmas returns to the splendid setting of Villa Litta in Milan, which is transformed into a fairy-tale and welcoming setting for the entire Municipality 9 and the Metropolitan City. Between shows, music, light installations and activities for all ages, the park becomes a true meeting point where the holiday atmosphere can be experienced day and evening. There is no shortage of an ice skating rink, open until January 11, 2026, to add an even more special touch to this urban winter village.
