Formula 1® has made official the calendar for the upcoming 2026 season, which will again include 24 Grands Prix. Prominent among the confirmations is the entry of the new Madrid city event after four decades with a 10-year agreement until 2035.
The Grand Prix in Spain will be held at the new MADRING circuit from September 11 to 13, 2026. Tickets for this major event go on sale today Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Formula 1® in Madrid

In recent years the only national venue for the F1® championship has been the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in Montmeló, so Madrid’s inclusion in the calendar will make Spain the only state with two venues in 2026, surpassed only by the United States, which has three (Miami, Austin and Las Vegas). In addition, Madrid’s will be the only GP in a major European capital.
Madrid will be the 16th stop of an exceptional GP that will begin on March 6 in Melbourne, Australia, and conclude with the last one in Abu Dhabi, Dec. 4-6.
The big names of current Formula 1® are expected to compete for the Spanish Grand Prix: Verstappen, Piastri, Norris, Russell, Leclerc… and of course the representatives of Spain, Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz, Pepe Martí and Mari Boya.
2026 will be a new era for Formula 1®, in which we will witness a brand new regulation, with the cars and engines being powered by 100% sustainable fuel, fully in line with F1®’s policies on sustainability, diversity and inclusion.
Great anticipation for the arrival of Madrid in the GP and for the return of prestigious brands such as Audi, Cadillac and Ford to the track.
What we know about the Madring

The MADRING is a hybrid circuit that combines an urban part with another that runs inside IFEMA Madrid and a third part that serves as a permanent circuit in the Valdebebas area. Prominent among its 22 curves is “La Monumental,” an elevated curve over 500 meters long that will be a real challenge for the drivers and a unique setting in which to experience the race.
It will be an immersive experience with the roar of the engines that will make the whole of Madrid vibrate.
In addition, parallel events are planned in the months leading up to the event in the city of Madrid. All these activities will be organized by Fever, MADRING’s ticketing and service provider.
