My dear, kind reader. The first episodes of the fourth season of Bridgerton are already available! Inspired by the novels of American writer Julia Quinn, the famous Netflix series is set in 19th-century London and recounts the life of high society amid scandals, love stories, and irresistible gossip.
But what if the series were set in Milan instead of London? Where would the promenades take place? The balls, the teas with Lady Danbury? We have selected some places in the city that we think evoke the world of Bridgerton.
Royal Palace

Where else could Queen Charlotte reside if not in the majestic Royal Palace of Milan?
Elegant, imposing, triumphant, worthy of Her Majesty, the Royal Palace would be the perfect setting for a scene from Bridgerton: monumental halls, refined gold stuccoes and timeless elegance, tapestries, and sparkling chandeliers are perfect for setting a ball to present the season’s diamonds to the queen, for example.
Giardini della Guastalla

The elegant and intimate Giardini della Guastalla in the center of Milan would be ideal for a courtship promenade, a gentleman offering a flower to a lady embarrassed behind her fan, a mother watching over her daughter to ensure that nothing inappropriate happens. How many scenes could be created in this little Eden?
Portello Park

Speaking of promenades, we also want to include this park, which is less romantic than Guastalla and less central but lends itself well to filming a courtship scene as it has the longest bench in the world, perfect for a young couple to sit and flirt comfortably surrounded by greenery.
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele

But let’s change the subject and focus on more mundane locations. What better place than Milan’s salon to meet with nobles and have a drink? The Galleria has a whole series of cafés and restaurants with a timelessly elegant atmosphere. And then, with its elegance, glitz, colors, and boutiques where you can find the perfect dress for the next ball of the season, the Galleria is an ideal setting for Bridgerton.
Cova

Cova = excellence and luxury. At Cova, we can easily imagine two friends, Penelope and Eloise, having tea and pastries. A chic pastry shop, worthy of a noblewoman.
LùBar

The lùBar is unique and somewhat Bidgerton-esque: romantic, warm, and welcoming. Elegant interior architecture, velvet chairs, prestigious in true Milanese style. In its elegance, it also has a slightly cheeky air that makes it perfect as a set for a Bridgerton-style series.
Royal Villa

Returning to the topic of luxurious and elegant residences, Villa Reale must be mentioned, as it is the ideal location for the home of one of the important families in the series. Perhaps the Bridgerton family itself, given that it gives the series its name and is the focus of practically everything. An imposing residence for an influential family.
Palazzo Serbelloni, Villa Invernizzi. Palazzo Saporiti

Near Villa Reale, we have the so-called “street of the nobles,” a thoroughfare lined with majestic palaces, ideal residences for the Featherington family, for example, or the Sharma family, the Sheffieleds, the Stirlings— whomever you like, or even the Bridgertons themselves if Shonda Rhimes deemed Villa Reale unsuitable. Or why not have the daring Lady Agatha Danbury live in Villa Invernizzi, for example? In short, there is something for everyone on the street of the nobles.
La Scala

What place could be more elegant than this to show off the most beautiful dresses and showcase one’s daughters, future diamonds, if not the Teatro alla Scala? It needs no introduction, with its red drapes and gold stucco, it is the quintessence of luxury, perfect for Bridgerton.
Villa Necchi – Campiglio

Villa Necchi Campiglio is a 1930s museum residence that we could easily imagine as the home of the eccentric Lady Danbury, with its salons for welcoming guests. Villa Necchi is as elegant and refined as she is.
What do you think of our selection?

Do you think Queen Charlotte would be happy with this selection?
