Summer vacations are approaching, and for many, these warm months are eagerly anticipated. Many Italians have already booked the vacations they’ve been dreaming of all year, with some choosing destinations in Italy and others deciding to travel abroad. The airport thus becomes a special place where new summer adventures begin, and the plane the vehicle that carries us toward our well-deserved vacations… even if every now and then we have to run so as not to miss it.
Speaking of races, the Milano Linate Runway is back again this year—the 10K race that takes place right on the airport runway. Participants head to the gates and “board” as if they were about to depart, but instead of boarding the plane, they set off toward the course. Here, with parked planes serving as a backdrop, a truly special race comes to life, crossing the runway between Boeing 737s and Airbus A350s.
