MoMi is the first international cycle path that starts in Milan, crosses the Alps and reaches Germany, in Munich. A long, all-walkable (more or less) cycle path that leads from the capital to Bavaria.
More or less because MoMi is 70 percent complete but you can still discover it and ride on it while admiring the beauty of the Alps.
The MoMi

The MoMi represents the first bicycle path that crosses borders that starts in Milan and reaches another country. With its 600 km, it promises to give a magical journey among the beauty of our country, the breathtaking landscapes of the Alps to reach the fascinating Munich that of beauty has sold out.
The cyclovia thus offers a travel experience between nature, culture and sustainable mobility. For enthusiasts, it is a unique opportunity for quality biking vacations, riding through valleys, Alpine passes, lakes and historic villages along the 600+ (611)km total length of the future route.
The Munich – Brixen section is virtually complete by taking advantage of established bike networks, as is Brixen – Lake Kaltern. Somewhat more incomplete is the section Lake Kaltern – Lake Iseo. The part to get to Milan is not yet well defined. The section is there but sometimes n0n cyclable and people prefer to take advantage of the existing cycle routes: the Camuna track along Lake Iseo and the towpath of the Naviglio Martesana. From the Naviglio to the city center is a snap.
600 and more kilometers of cycling to reach Germany. But beware, the MoMi is not a route to be taken lightly: it requires trained legs and a determined spirit to overcome climbs like the Mendola or Tonale, but it is worth it for the magic it provides along the way. And then once you arrive in Munich, beer to regenerate.
We leave you the link to the site where you can satisfy all your perplexities and understand where the route is viable or not. The site is very clear and allows a complete view of the MoMi.
