Some people party until morning, while others start the party in the morning. Soft Clubbing is all the rage in Milan, a new way to have fun that brings the music and energy of clubs into bars, usually in the early hours of the day. This isn’t quiet music and small talk at the tables, but real parties with awesome DJ sets, only instead of gin and tonics, there are cappuccinos and mimosas. It’s the perfect morning for those who want to start the day with a little boost or for those who prefer to rest at night without giving up the party.
What is Soft Clubbing?
Soft Clubbing is a new way to experience house and techno music, no longer in the dark rooms of exclusive clubs but within the bright walls of cafes and bars with a modern, minimalist, and “aesthetic” design. The idea combines the energy of a party with the relaxed atmosphere of a bar, with a DJ playing directly on the counter, where you would usually grab a quick coffee, while hundreds of people let their hair down from the early hours of the morning amid croissants and cappuccinos.
In Milan, a city where there is no shortage of parties and clubs, it was inevitable that this trend would arrive (and immediately win everyone over). Soft Clubbing does not replace the classic night out with strobe lights and sequins, but it is a valid alternative for those who do not like or cannot stay out late, without giving up the socializing and energy typical of discos.
And anyone who thinks that it was the older generations who pushed this new style of partying is mistaken. Soft Clubbing events are particularly popular with Gen Z, who seek a balance between fun and well-being and who definitely prefer a full 8 hours of sleep to sleepless nights.
