Villa Arconati, also known as Lombardy’s Little Versailles, an architectural gem reminiscent of the palace of the Bourbons in France, organizes a calendar full of summer events in August to spend a top month in case you stay in town and don’t know what to do.
Villa Arconati organizes special guided walks to discover the wonders of the monumental garden and some of the most beautiful rooms.
Villa Arconati’s summer events

Villa Arconati is perfect for an outing, half an hour’s drive and you’re there. We are located in Bollate more or less. Noteworthy summer events at Villa Arconati are all the visits that are organized: tours to discover the richest corners from a historical-artistic and architectural point of view of the Italian and French gardens: the theaters dedicated to classical myths, the fountains with water features, the berceaux and much more.
Plus visits to the palace’s majestic rooms where you will feel like royalty a bit Louis XIV style.
The calendar is nice and busy throughout August. In addition to garden and villa tours, every Tuesday in August, Villa Arconati invites families with children to participate in a special tour among the wonders of the historic garden, guided by the Argo peacock to discover the treasures of the messy peacock among the park’s fountains, theaters and ancient statues.
The activity lasts about 60 minutes and costs 10 euros per participant. Admission is free for children ages 3 to 6.
Little Italian Versailles

Villa Arconati is nicknamed the Little Italian Versailles because, as it can be understood, it has a number of historical, architectural and landscape elements reminiscent of the famous French palace: the Baroque and monumental style, the typically French-style garden, inspired by the model of André Le Nôtre (the architect of Versailles), with geometric avenues, shaped hedges, fountains, classical statues and gallery-pruned hornbeams.
In short, a Lombard jewel that is worth a visit regardless of its summer events.
