Wild nature, breathtaking scenery and clean air. This is what awaits you once you cross the threshold of the village.
Tatanka Village
The Indian village is located in the heart of the Maira Valley in the province of Cuneo. A natural, green, healthy place full of peace and well-being where you can find yourself and disconnect for a while from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Indian village is not just a simple way of camping, but a way to regenerate yourself.
11 Tepees are waiting for you to have a very special experience in close contact with Mother Nature.
The Village is located inside the Lou Dauh campsite, which offers you all the services to make your stay comfortable, including a mini-market with local and high-quality Maira Valley products, equipped areas for children, bar, diner, showers, toilets and several spots where you can find braziers in which to cook your food for a total natural immersion (to book the location). The interesting thing is the minimarket where you can find healthy and genuine products, local km0 to use for you or eat in the food stations.
What a tepee looks like
If you choose to camp at Tatanka Village, the tepee will become your “home.” It is a conical tent originally made from skins, birch bark or sheeting, and made famous by Native Americans on the Great Plains of the northern United States of America.
The “floor” of the Tepee is made of natural soil (gravel), a wooden plank as a bedding. It is recommended to bring a sleeping bag, an inflatable mattress and a pillow for comfort. But then it is up to everyone’s discretion how wild you want to make the stay. Because it is definitely a very spartan but fun and different experience from the usual camping as we know it.
Take a look, because in addition to the “Indianing” experience, camping offers different living arrangements and lots of outdoor activities that are beautiful for everyone, young and old. Step outside the box and experience something unique.
