You don’t need to fly all the way to Amsterdam to be enveloped by a riot of colors. Just a few kilometers from Milan, the monotony of city life dissolves into an incredible expanse of over 600,000 tulips, capable of transforming the Lombardy countryside into a picturesque “Little Holland.” We are in Arese, at Italy’s largest tulip field.
The moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived: the blooms are at their peak, and the fields, with their colorful rows, are ready to welcome you for the U-Pick experience. Whether you want to take spectacular photos or simply treat yourself to a break surrounded by nature, here you can create your ideal bouquet by personally selecting each flower. But don’t wait too long: this spectacle, as enchanting as it is, is destined to be short-lived, and these are the best days to experience it to the fullest.
The Tulipani Italiani Initiative

Tulipani Italiani is an initiative launched in 2017 byNitsuhe andEdwin, whose goal is to createa special bond between people and nature, promoting a sustainable lifestyle and offering an enchanting experience where flowers can be photographed, admired, and picked—but always with respect for nature.
Every season is unique, and the tulip field is never the same—it changes daily. In 2026, new tulip varieties were introduced , and the color combinations have changed completely compared to previous years. In addition to tulips, other flower varieties—such as daffodils—will also be available, allowing you to create rich and imaginative bouquets.
Where is it located?
The Tulipani Italiani U-Pick field is located in Arese, right across from IL CENTRO, in the Valera area. The rows of tulips stretch through the heart of Parco delle Groane, a vast protected natural area of about 7,700 hectares, considered one of the main green lungs northwest of Milan.
This park stands out for its varied landscapes, including heathlands, pine forests, and woods of oak and hornbeam, and is also home to two Sites of Community Importance of great natural value: the Cesate Pine Forest and the Groane Woods.

The field is open starting March 14, 2026, and is accessible every day of the week. On weekdays, hours are from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, while on weekends, opening time is moved up to 8:30 AM, with closing time remaining at 7:30 PM.
