Light Cycles
Among the things to do right now at the hydroscalo is him, Light Cycles, the not-to-be-missed event that has continued to enchant the city since it opened. But what is it? It is a show that evokes different realms of the natural world, trying to amplify the voice of nature through light and sound. An illuminated evening walk through nature with light and sound. Light Cycles transforms the waterfront into an oasis of light, almost like entering a dream, you will walk through 5 art installations that illuminate the trees and surrounding nature revealing its innermost secrets.
Art
Not only lights and wonder, ‘Idroscalo is also Art with its sculpture trail: an open-air museum full of sculptural works by young artists who dialogue with nature. All to be discovered
Sailboat
At the hydroscalo you can also experience the thrill of sailing, either independently or through courses. It is an activity open to everyone and also perfect for corporate team building. You can experience the atmosphere of a real seafaring club. Here for all the info.
Paddling
At Idroscalo it is possible to practice canoeing at both amateur and competitive levels. There are courses for all age groups and experience, but also the possibility to rent boats and paddle 6 km surrounded by the beauty of nature at Idroscalo.
Skatepark
Looking for a well-equipped outdoor park where you can practice rollerblading or skateboarding? Idroscalo offers you as much as 4370 m2 of freestyle track with rails, ramps, obstacles. The facilities are made of quartz concrete and enjoy the necessary certifications that allow you to practice the sports safely.
The area is open daily and admission is free.
Climbing
At the hydroshark you can also practice climbing in the large outdoor wall that is located in the middle of the greenery. For safety reasons, the wall cannot be used freely and without an instructor.

Biking
Do you like biking? At the seaport you will find the off-road MTB circuit, a dirt track equipped with jumps and bumps that winds on a slight rise overlooking the basin. Or for those who want to enjoy a leisurely ride find a charming lakeside bike and pedestrian path that for 6.3 kilometers runs along the body of water and into the green of the park.
Both trails are accessible free of charge every day.
Yoga
If you are someone who likes to connect with nature and center yourself with yoga, the setting of hydroscalo is perfect for finding yourself in silence. But it also offers gymnastics, breathing, meditation and relaxation.
Fitness
Not only biking, climbing and yoga, at hydroscalo you will find fitness classes for all tastes and a track with equipment for free-body exercises all year round.
Running
Such a large green space is also perfect for those who like to run. In fact, at Idroscalo you’ll find a more than 6-kilometer course with ground markings and even a track for practicing cross country.
As you have seen, the things to do at Idroscalo are many and varied. There is also no shortage of swimming pools in summer and beach volleyball. Here nature and sports come together creating a unique green oasis. Sometimes you don’t have to go too far to find a place with so many offerings.

Via Corelli direction
from Piazza Tricolore (ring road) take corso Concordia, corso Indipendenza, corso Plebisciti, viale Argonne and then via Corelli (SP 14 “Rivoltana”) with directions: Rivolta d’Adda, Peschiera Borromeo until you reach Idroscalo in the municipal territory of Segrate.
Viale Forlanini direction
from Piazza 5 Giornate (ring road), follow the direction Corso XXII Marzo, Viale Corsica, Viale Forlanini, SP 15/B “Paullese” until reaching the Idroscalo in Segrate municipal territory following the directions to Melzo, Peschiera Borromeo.
From Tangenziale Est
From both directions (north/south) take exit number 6 Linate Aeroporto/Idroscalo. From here take Viale Forlanini and then SP 15/B “Paullese” until you reach Idroscalo in the municipal territory of Segrate following the signs for Melzo, Peschiera Borromeo.
From outside Milan
Route SP 14 “Rivoltana”
For the areas of Rivolta d’Adda, Melzo, Pioltello following the signs for Milan until reaching Idroscalo in Segrate territory.
Route SP 15/B “Paullese”
For the areas of Paullo, Crema and Melegnano until reaching the territory of Peschiera Borromeo and then the Park with first entrance at the South Head.
