AlpaCamp, the angel camp near Milan, is a project created thanks to Angelo Barbieri, who wanted to create a place where humans, nature and animals could reconnect. Missing him prematurely, the enchanting idea was carried on by his daughter Sara. A girl who decided to help animals in need in this space in Paderno Dugnano. It is an alpaca oasis, where you can spend time with these sociable mammals.
Alpacas and more. The owner, together with the Italian League for the Defense of Animals and the Environment, welcomes not only these camelids to her Eden. Others are the animals in need that she helps and protects (dogs, lambs, geese, chickens and a beautiful peacock). In short, a kind of place of salvation where creatures in distress can find peace, companionship and love.
How alpacamp near Milan was born
It all starts with Sara’s dad, as anticipated, Angelo, who rents this 2,000-square-meter land in 2017. After his passing in 2019, Sara, who is also a dog trainer, decides to carry on AlpaCamp for her father. The ultimate goal is to create an educational farm where she can provide a space where humans, children and animals can connect immersed in nature.
At the moment, more than an educational farm Alpacamp is a gathering place, a happy island where people can have outdoor experiences that are a little different from the usual.
What the experience with alpacas involves
The main attraction are the bred alpacas with whom you can take a walk around the surroundings holding them by the reins, in the company of Sara, whose gentleness and love for animals is contagious. The walk is done mainly through grassy green fields; it doesn’t even feel like being in the city. There is no shortage of companions to keep you company along the way, a few sheep, some dogs.
In short, a great way to reconnect with the purest part of the world. Nature and animals. Innocent creatures who can fill your heart without uttering a word. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while or plan a short and engaging field trip, Alpacamp is well worth it.
