What if we told you that the artisan panettone festival with free tastings is coming to Milan this weekend? Well yes, a whole 3 days dedicated to the discovery of the most emblematic Christmas dessert of this period. From Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 1 at Palazzo Bovara.
The three-day event starts on Friday, November 29 at 2:30 pm with the opening to the public of the Panettone Village. A unique opportunity for a journey through the different interpretations of the Christmas dessert par excellence.
On Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. there will be tastings guided by the masters of the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani (Academy of Italian Master Pastry Chefs) and master classes, to savor and discover the different declinations of the world’s most beloved Italian holiday dessert.

A rich weekend of free guided tastings and masterclasses awaits you, in addition to the opportunity to buy artisanal panettoni made by top pastry chefs and thematic displays in one of the city’s most prestigious historic buildings.
The master pastry chefs present are Salvatore De Riso, Paolo Sacchetti, Andrea Urbani, Denis Dianin, Luigi Biasetto, Marco Battaglia, Francesco Boccia. Marco Ercoles, Salvatore Gabbiano, Claudio Marcozzi, Benito Odorino, Alessandro Busato, Roberto Cantolacqua Ripani, Roberto Cosmo and Giovanni Pace.
On Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the public can participate in panettone tastings conducted by AMPI’s Master Pastry Chefs and master classes with APCI chefs.
The appointments, which can be booked(here) for free on Eventbrite while places last, will allow participants to enjoy Christmas menus and different variations of the Italian dessert. Here for the full program.
Panettoni will be sold at a fixed price of €39 (1 kilo) and €24 (half kilo), and AMPI will donate €2 per panettone sold to Fondazione Umberto Veronesi to support cancer research.
