And soon, on November 15 to be exact, one of the largest Christmas markets in Italy will open , there are more than 140 typical wooden market booths that will animate Asti, here is unveiled the location of the town where this historic event will take place.

This reality is also called the magical land of Christmas: a widespread event in the territory of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero where you can experience the magic of Christmas. Asti, Govone, San Damiano d’Asti and Santo Stefano Belbo are the towns involved that will be filled with lights, magic, recreating a fairy-tale atmosphere for young and old. Illuminations, decorations and light installations will make the streets of downtown Asti a true Christmas “wonderland.” There is often live music, Christmas choirs and traveling shows.
The market has more than 130-40 wooden cottages, arranged along the main squares and downtown streets. It offers handicrafts, local food products and from all over Italy, decorations and a festive atmosphere with music and lights.
The market will start on Nov. 15 (on Saturdays and Sundays) through Dec. 21 (Thursday through Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Special opening on Nov. 14, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Outside Asti

If Asti will leave you spellbound, the other municipalities will not do any less:
- Govone with Santa’s House, the Royal Castle all festively decorated and surrounded by markets, the School of Elves, workshops and lots of magic to discover;
- San Damiano d’Asti, on the other hand, incredible its procession of characters in the town’s charming historic cellars reenacting the nativity. You will come across carpenters, blacksmiths, fishermen, washerwomen, spinners, shepherds with flocks, bakers, censors, centurions and priests as you pass through some 30 different settings, including inns and places of refreshment. A living nativity scene that has gained prominence over the years.
- And then Santo Stefano Belbo, which from December 7 is transformed into an enchanted village. Among the village streets, squares and most charming places, every corner will tell a part of the Christmas Fairy Tale: a journey of emotion, art and conviviality that unites the community and welcomes visitors with genuine warmth.
