Usually when we talk about the sea in Milan we always associate Liguria, the Milanese go to Santa, Sestri, Alassio; Rapallo, Portofino, Boccadasse and other beautiful places where it is always very pleasant to take a vacation or a ride on weekends, but always crowded and chaotic. Instead, we want to take you elsewhere to a natural place, dfi peace and nature, to the Caribbean of Milan, a beach not on the sea and not in Liguria that is a bit reminiscent of these exotic locations. Fine white beach, crystal clear waters and nature all around. Where are we? Let’s go and find out.
The Caribbean of Milan

Do you want to avoid the crazy, long lines on highways but don’t want to give up wellness, coolness and some relaxation? ( Which so many people want in August). The solution may be this beach not far from Milan that is vaguely reminiscent of the Caribbean.
We are talking about Spiaggia della Chiesetta and it is located not far from the village of Brugnello, along the banks of the Trebbia River. Well, yes, the beach in question is not by the sea or a lake but along a river with aqcqueues so blue as to make Sardinia or the aforementioned Caribbean envious. The beach owes its name to the presence, at the top of the promontory in the village of Brugnello, of a small medieval church overlooking the surrounding landscape.
For those in doubt, we reassure you. It is a more than satisfying experience. Clear, cool waters, no salt sticking to skin and hair. Few people, nature and beauty. In addition, according to recent Arpae studies, they have identified the Trebbia River as swimmable with microbiological water parameters in the normal range.
How to get there

So we are in the province of Piacenza. Drive along the SS45 in the direction of the Trebbia Valley. From Piacenza it is about 50 km, passing the village of Bobbio, you will arrive at the height of Brugnello . You will find a clearing with a gate. In the vicinity of which you can park your car. You must continue on foot, taking a path that will take you to the beach in a 10-minute walk.
Make sure you have the right sun protection and sunscreen, suitable footwear (there is yes sand but no shortage of pebbles) nearby there are no services. A true Into the wild experience.
P.S No barbecuing or camping.
