Some rank it among the most spectacular in Italy, while others even call it the most beautiful in Europe; what’s certain is that this cantilevered walkway, just over two hours from Milan, will leave you breathless. Situated 50 meters above ground, it spans 4.5 kilometers of scenic views, accessible both on foot and by bike. What makes it truly special? The unparalleled view of one of Italy’s most famous lakes.
Amid lemon groves and mountains
Opened in 2018 to connect the center of a small lakeside village to the northern part of town, this path immediately became one of the most iconic bike and pedestrian paths in the country (and beyond). A route about 4.5 km long, starting from the Marconi lakeside promenade and winding through stone-paved alleys, olive groves, and the characteristic lemon groves, before becoming a spectacular suspended walkway about 2 km long anchored to the rock, offering breathtaking views of the lake and Monte Baldo
Since it is a bike and pedestrian path, you can travel along it on foot or by bike. The route starts with a slight incline and is mostly flat, making it easily accessible even for families with children or those who are less athletic. In about 20–30 minutes of walking, you reach a viewpoint where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the inlet with boats at anchor and the mountains framing the horizon to the north.

Hours and tickets
The panoramic walkway, constructed of metal with a wooden floor and transparent railing, was designed to offer a crystal-clear view of the lake without compromising safety. The Passeggiata del Limone is open every day, with no set hours, and is completely free. We recommend visiting around sunset to take spectacular photos, but it also offers wonderful scenery during the day, especially on these bright spring days.
Are there bike rentals nearby? Yes, there are several, with a wide selection of models to suit every need.
