A body of water that has inspired artists and writers, as well as providing the backdrop for the most famous love stories. Lake Como is beautiful, there is no other way to describe it. Located just 45 minutes from Milan, it is the ideal destination for a day trip from the city, especially during the spring season, when the air is clean and the sun’s rays warm your skin. The view from its shores is certainly wonderful, but can you imagine what it might be like from above? Absolutely amazing, and thanks to this place, you too can admire this breathtaking panorama.
The best panoramic view of Lake Como
A few kilometers from Milan, there is an easy walk, suitable for the whole family, that leads to a panoramic viewpoint where you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the entire lake and the mountains that surround it. To get there, it takes about 30 minutes of leisurely walking on a wide, slightly uphill dirt road. The starting point is in Via Escursionisti, where there is also a small parking lot.
At the end of the walk, you will find a cantilevered walkway suspended 1,300 meters above sea level (12 meters high). The walkway is made of metal, with a grating floor from which you can see the void below. It has a V-shaped structure overlooking Lake Como and is definitely not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo. The view is priceless at any time of day. The walkway has no opening hours, is open 24 hours a day, and is completely free of charge.

Other unmissable experiences in Lecco and Como
In addition to the breathtaking landscape, at Piani Resinelli you can also visit the oldest mines in Valsassina, dating back to 1500. Located in the Grigne mountain range, they are the oldest mines that can be visited in the entire Lecco area. They are located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters and remained in operation until the first half of the 20th century. Once they fell into disuse, they were secured and turned into a historical site that can now be visited.
Finally, to round off a wonderful day at Lake Como, why not add an exciting candlelit evening? Candlelight concerts in Como take place in evocative locations such asthe Hilton Lake Como and the historic Sala Bianca of the Teatro Sociale. In these two exceptional venues, thousands of candles will surround participants and musicians, who will play magical classical tributes to great artists such as Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and Cesare Cremonini.
