Brilliant, innovative, visionary. This was Giorgio Armani, the iconic designer who died today, September 4. After a period of convalescence he passed away leaving a void in the industry. Unbridgeable, unreachable.
A man who did not just make fashion, he made history with his style, his sophistication, the innovations he introduced, an almost ethereal elegance that will remain forever.
Despite his health condition, he had continued to work actively until the end, following the rehearsals of the collections via Facetime and personally attending to the details of the fashion shows.
King George

Because that’s what he was, a hard worker and a tireless perfectionist who took care of every detail, a watchful eye, vigilant to the end. Even in his boutiques he cared so that everything was the way he wanted it.
Passion, dedication, commitment and courage were the ingredients that made King George the man he was. A king with a real empire that includes brands such as Giorgio Armani Privé, Emporio Armani and Armani Exchange, as well as lines of accessories, perfumes, furniture and luxury hospitality.
Armani’s creations were not just clothes but works of art that dressed anyone who wore them in light and splendor and that we saw paraded on every red carpet from the Oscars to the Golden Globes to the Venice Film Festival.
“In the Haute Couture collections I express my vision of style and elegance through the art of craftsmanship and savoir faire: only here can I do it without setting myself any limits[…]”said the well-known designer. A fashion, his, that perfectly expresses Italian craftsmanship and Made in Italy through refined lines, precious workmanship and fabrics, jewel embroideries made with careful craftsmanship.
Authentic, timeless, Giorgio will forever remain among the giants of Italian fashion.
