A complex trial, overwhelming evidence and twists and turns, you are a law student or debate enthusiast and looking for a stimulating evening that will ignite constructive discussions on a topical issue, The Jury Experience in Milan is for you. An interactive theatrical experience where the verdict in a case with a delicate and controversial plot is up to you.
The case of The Jury Experience
The Jury Experience puts viewers in front of an extremely sensitive case, where artificial intelligence finds itself accused of causing a fatal accident for the first time. Here, viewers are called upon to take on the role of the popular jury and pass a final verdict, which could change the fate of one or more people forever (or at least, until the end of the theatrical exprerience).
During these 75 minutes, two professional actors will become lawyers and present the case, witnesses, and visual evidence. Their goal is to give a complete overview of the case and convince the popular jury of the innocence, or guilt, of the defendant.
Very beautiful and immersive. It entertains you from beginning to end because you feel like you are the protagonist. – review The Jury Experience Milan, June 2025
Ethics and accountability: the post experience debate
The Jury Experience is certainly an engaging experience from the perspective of possible topics and debates. The theme of the trial is not accidental but aims to stimulate the viewers’ opinion with respect to a highly topical issue, namely the increasingly widespread use of artificial intelligence, even in contexts where special attention is required from humans, such as on the street.
The ethical question regarding who should be attributed responsibility for the accident leads to reflection on the possibility of considering artificial intelligence as a figure assimilable to a human being and therefore attributable. A question that opens up interesting scenarios, especially in the legal field.
This is how this immersive theatrical experience acquires a formative value, turning into a moment where one can practice the art of debate and learn how to argue one’s positions, which is as useful for students of law as it is for students of philosophy, economics, international relations and so on.
