From Oct. 23 to Nov. 9, Milan becomes the capital of jazz, where the rhythm of hot jazz and the melancholy of soul meet in decide of events scattered around the city. JazzMi 2025 brings all the good vibes of the genre to the gray Lombard capital and prepares to bring a vibrant touch to Milan’s days, with shows by international artists and performances featuring the young promises of jazz.
What is JazzMi 2025?
Born in 2016, JazzMi has quickly established itself as one of the top jazz events in Italy, thanks to its ability to combine the great jazz tradition with its more contemporary expressions. The festival has won over audiences and critics since its first edition, attracting hundreds of adhesions until today it celebrates its 10th edition. In addition to hosting internationally renowned artists, JazzMi stands out from other festivals for its focus on young talent, promoting them through contests and spaces designed especially for them.
This edition’s artists not to be missed
This edition of JazzMi is distinguished by the participation of top artists such as Diana Krall, who will perform a special preview at Teatro degli Arcimboldi on Monday, Oct. 20, and Molly Lewis, who will take the stage at Auditorium San Fedele on Oct. 29. Among the most anticipated guests are Shabaka Hutchings, Abdullah Ibrahim Trio, The Headhunters, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mammal Hands and many others, who will set the stages of various theaters, auditoriums and venues ablaze.

Jam The Future 2025
Like every edition, JAM THE FUTURE, the official JazzMi contest dedicated to young jazz bands under 35, will be held in 2025. The contest, created by Volvo Studio Milano in collaboration with JazzMi, each year makes room for new jazz bands to perform in live auditions in front of an audience and an exceptional jury.
Just from Volvo Studio Milano, on Wednesday, October 8, the semifinal will be held among the jazz bands that passed the previous stage, while on October 15 at 9 p.m. there will be the final. The contest rewards the originality and creativity of the bands, which must present and interpret unreleased songs and try to stand out among the many participants.
