On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Milan celebrates the 80th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Italian Republic with a program of free institutional events open to the public, organized at some of the city’s most iconic locations.
- 10:00 a.m. | Piazza Duomo: Flag-raising ceremony.
- 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM | Palazzo Marino: City Hall open to the public. In the morning, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, you can join guided tours led by FAI volunteers (reservations required).
- 4:30 PM | Palazzo Marino (Cortile d’Onore): concert by the Milan Local Police Band.
- 6:00 PM | Palazzo Marino (Courtyard of Honor): concert by the Fanfare of the Air Force Command – 1st Air Region.
- 9:00 PM | Royal Palace (Courtyard of Honor): event “The Faces of the Republic – 80 Years Since the Referendum,” featuring a live broadcast on Rai 1 of the celebrations from the Quirinale Square. Admission is free while seats last.

The Spritz Social Fest is a free outdoor village set up at Milan’s Idroscalo (Tribune Entrance – Mood Live Milano), designed to celebrate the June 2 long weekend with cocktails, food trucks, and fun.
The final day of the festival, Tuesday, June 2, features a special event for car enthusiasts. Hours: 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
