If you are passionate about design, furniture and innovation, the Salone del Mobile in Milan is an event you absolutely cannot miss. Every year this fair becomes the world stage for the latest trends in furniture and interior design, attracting visitors from every corner of the planet.
But did you know that the Salone del Mobile is more than just an exhibition of household items? It is a true design festival that extends throughout Milan, with events, installations and exhibitions that enliven the city during Furniture Week.

The Salone del Mobile di Milano was born in 1961 with the intention of promoting the excellence of Italian design. Since then, it has grown exponentially, becoming a reference point for designers, architects and furniture enthusiasts.
More than 2,000 exhibitors from 37 different countries will participate in the 2025 edition, confirming its leading position on the international scene.
And let’s not forget Fuorisalone, which in 2024 saw more than 1,000 events scattered throughout the city, transforming Milan into a veritable open-air museum.

The 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan will take place from April 8 to 13. These dates are a must-see for anyone who wants to discover the latest in the world of design.
What about the Fuorisalone?
Instead, it will be possible to participate in the exciting events of Fuorisalone from April 7 to 13, 2025, in different locations in Milan.
During these days, Milan will be transformed into a hub of creativity and innovation, with events going on nonstop.
Where the Salone del Mobile takes place in Milan
The 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile is held at the Fiera Milano Rho Exhibition Center, a location that offers spacious and modern spaces perfect for hosting the most spectacular installations. But it is not only here that the magic takes place: the Fuorisalone extends throughout the city, with events held in showrooms, art galleries and public spaces.
Opening days and times
The event is dedicated exclusively to industry professionals, but on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, the Salone is also open to the rest of the public.
Students can arrange their visit on April 11, 12 and 13.
The hours for visiting the International Exhibition are the same for the general public and students: from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
You will have plenty of time to explore the booths, attend events and discover the latest trends in design. Don’t forget to plan your visit so you don’t miss anything!
How much does the Salone del Mobile ticket cost
Until April 4 you can secure a ticket valid for both days for only 35 euros. From April 5 to April 13 the online price will rise slightly to 40 euros, but it is still affordable. If you prefer to buy on site, you can do so directly at the ticket counters on the days of the event, but the cost will be 50 euros.
Don’t forget that registration is compulsory, so at the time of purchase you will have to indicate the day on which you intend to visit the Salon. This is a great opportunity to plan your visit in advance!

Attending the Salone del Mobile 2025 will be an extraordinary experience! In fact, this year’s event promises to be a true festival of creativity and innovation. You will be able to stroll among more than 2,000 exhibitors, discovering the latest trends in furniture and design.
Don’t miss the exciting SaloneSatellite, where 700 young talents and 20 Design Schools will showcase their bold visions for the future of furniture and design. This is the place where you might discover the next big name in design!
For lighting enthusiasts, the Euroluce Biennial will be a true paradise. You can explore the latest innovations in lighting from more than 300 international brands, from smart solutions for the home to artistic lighting installations. Don’t miss the first Euroluce International Lighting Forum (April 10-11, Hall 2), where lighting design experts, architects, artists and even scientists will discuss the theme “Light for Life, Light for Spaces.”
The new communication campaign, “Thought for Humans,” promises to be visually stunning. Created in collaboration with Dentsu Creative Italy and signed by renowned New York photographer Bill Durgin, it will explore the connection between the human body and design in surprising and provocative ways.
Culture lovers cannot miss the three site-specific installations:
“Villa Héritage” by Pierre-Yves Rochon (pav. 13-15).
A journey through time and style, exploring the concept of timeless beauty in design. It will make you reflect on the meaning of living and artistic creation. From the contemporary female sculpture at the entrance to the breathtaking photographs by Massimo Listri, every detail has been curated to create an immersive experience.
“La dolce attesa” by Paolo Sorrentino (pav. 22-24)
A cinematic interpretation of design by the famous Italian director.
“Mother” by Robert Wilson at the Pietà Rondanini Museum – Castello Sforzesco.
The artist reflects on how the unfinished nature of Michelangelo’s masterpiece Pietà Rondanini opens a window to inspiration and vision, offering a space and a moment to stop, dream and contemplate the profound emotional depth embodied by the figure of the mother.
The Formafantasma Arena will host “Drafting Futures. Conversations about Next Perspectives,” five days of talks and panel discussions with some of the brightest minds in international design.

- FTK (Technology For the Kitchen): the future of technology applied to the kitchen.

For book lovers, the Corraini Mobile Bookshop will be a treasure to discover, with more than 110 publishers, many of them independent and from all over the world. And don’t forget the Design Kiosk in Piazza della Scala, where you can meet the protagonists of the design world in a more informal atmosphere and many different events.
Fuorisalone 2025: the events not to be missed
Fuorisalone is the creative and spontaneous soul of Milan Design Week. From April 7 to 13, 2025, the city will come alive with events, installations and exhibitions in every corner.
This year’s theme is “Connected Worlds: Designing for a Connected World,” an exploration of how design can redefine our relationship with different areas of daily life. This concept not only embraces the idea of responsible and environmentally conscious design, but also invites us to think about how we can live more sustainably and harmoniously with our planet.

Palazzo Molteni – A new chapter in design.
Molteni&C inaugurates a 3,000-square-meter, 7-story historic building designed by Vincent Van Duysen that blends Art Nouveau and neoclassical elements. The “Letters to Milan” installation at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum celebrates this opening with a unique dialogue between design and the city.

Gucci | Bamboo Encounters
An exhibition exploring the legacy of bamboo in Gucci’s design and identity. Curated by 2050+, it features seven contemporary designers reinterpreting this iconic material in surprising and innovative ways.

ARIA. A medium for connection
A multisensory journey curated by Studiopepe that transforms air into an element of connection. With more than 50 international brands involved, the installation offers a fluid and immersive experience, redefining the concept of space.

Making the Invisible Visible by Google
An installation exploring the creative process behind design. Created in collaboration with artist Lachlan Turczan, the work transforms light into tangible and interactive forms.

Source of Pleasure by Lavazza
A site-specific installation by architect Juliana Lima Vasconcellos. A monumental structure 18 meters in diameter offers a multisensory path that explores the coffee universe.

A bold reinterpretation of the Persian carpet using colorful synthetic hair, challenging traditional perceptions and offering an original reflection on craftsmanship and cultural identity.
