One of the most famous open-air cinemas is, without a doubt, that of the AriAnteo circuit, which, from late May to late September, screens the best films in four exceptional Milanese locations: CityLife, the Fabbrica del Vapore, Palazzo Reale and the Chiostro dell’Incoronata. Each of these offers unique atmospheres among art palaces, historic cloisters and modern urban squares. Programming pays attention to both blockbusters of the season and cult films of the past as well as premieres, often enriched by guest talks or special events. Screenings are held with traditional audio, no wireless headphones.

All the Beauty of Cinema at Castello Sforzesco
In the enchanting setting of the Castello Sforzesco courtyard comes “Tutto il bello del cinema,” the new summer festival signed Cineteca Milano. From Aug. 3 to 27, every evening at 9 p.m., 25 films selected from the Cineteca’s archives will be screened. A program ranging from the great classics to cult must-sees, which will always be preceded by a brief introduction made by experts, who will guide the audience on a journey under the stars through the history of cinema. Participation is completely free, but reservations are required, and in case of rain the screenings will move to the Harlequin cinema.

CINEmare at Cascina Torrette: the silent gem between ancient and modern
For those seeking a more intimate and alternative experience, there is CINEmare in the San Siro/Trenno area. From June to September, masterpieces of contemporary Italian cinema and family films will enchant viewers at Mare Cultura Urbano. Screenings here involve the use of wireless headphones, for an immersive and silent experience that respects the intimate space.

Parco Sempione Cinema Village
