Vasco Rossi is an undisputed legend of Italian rock music. Born Feb. 7, 1952, in Zocca, a small town in the Apennines of Modena, he pursued his passion for music from an early age, thanks in part to his mother. Always enterprising, when he was only 14, he founded the band “Killer” later to become the “Little Boys.” After his studies, Vasco moved to Bologna, where he started the first free radio station in the area, “Punto Radio.”
In 1977 he released his first 45 rpm and from there on only hits, records, and a 40-year-long career.Vasco is known for his irreverent and profound lyrics about freedom, rebellion, love, and social issues, which established him as a provocative music icon.
