Vinokilo, for those who don’t know, is Europe’s largest vintage fashion event, and at about the end of the month it will return to Milan. The special feature of this sale? Clothes are paid by weight and not by the piece. That is, you pay according to how much the clothes you buy weigh.
The event will take place at Spazio Bergognone from March 21-23. Continuous hours (10 a.m.-7 p.m.). More than affordable admission tickets.
Vinokilo in Milan, how it works
What does it mean to sell by the kilo? You buy by the kilo. But you won’t necessarily have to go up to a kilo of clothes. If you want to buy just one T-shirt for example, you can. You will pay by weight precisely.
Does the T.shirt you want weigh 90 grams? You will pay for 90 grams of T-shirt and so on.
If, on the other hand, you want to go overboard and buy everything, you will pay by the kilo.
Kind of like at the grocery store. Do you buy 70 grams of apples? You pay for 70 grams of apples, you buy 15 kilos of apples? You pay for 15 kilos. At Vinokilo the same logic applies.
You get your tote bag, select among vintage clothes of the best brands and the greatest eras, and then go to the checkout. Paper payment only. Every day you always find new clothes as the organization refills garments all day long.
Tickets range from 3 to 7 euros. There are 3 types of tickets you can find online. At Vinokilo you have the opportunity to bring your old clothes to any Vinokilo event to get a 4€ off coupon for each kilo donated. But be careful the clothes must be in good condition and well cleaned before being brought in.
Items from fast fashion brands, socks, underwear or accessories are not accepted.
