What do an astronaut, a plant, and artificial intelligence have in common? They are examples of different ways of learning and finding solutions. From October 23 to 25, Focus Live 2026 – Intelligenze brings visitors to the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology with talks, workshops, and hands-on experiences for all ages.
During the same period, Milan is also presenting *The Jury Experience – Deadly AI*: in this interactive performance, the audience hears a case involving a driverless car and votes on the verdict. A theatrical perspective on the relationship between artificial intelligence and responsibility.
Intelligenze, in the plural
The theme of this edition invites us to look beyond human and artificial intelligence: the program also explores the cognitive abilities of animals, the strategies of plants, neuroscience, robotics, and language. Researchers, science communicators, astronauts, artists, and athletes will take turns appearing on stages, in interactive areas, and in workshops.
On Friday, October 23, astronauts and scientists will discuss what it’s like to think in space; among the day’s events is also *The Magic Violin*, an experience that blends music and technology with the help of wearable exoskeletons.
On Saturday the 24th, topics will include, among other things, the intelligence of Ulysses compared to AI and communication among plants. In the evening, the audience can participate in “Challenge to the… Brains!”, a game show combining logic, speed, and intuition.
On Sunday, the 25th, the program also shifts its focus to the cognitive abilities of animals and the relationship between philosophy and technology, with the event “Socrates vs. ChatGPT.” There will also be activities for children and teens ages 4 to 13, including robotics, natural sciences, logic games, and creative workshops.
