Bike rental services offered by the city of Milan
Around Milan you may have happened to see a lot of bicycle parking lots, all the same color. BikeMi is the state-run service launched in December 2008 by the city of Milan as a sustainable alternative to public transportation. The service, included in the ATM transportation network, was an incredible success right away, and is still active in the city today. Available subscriptions are daily, weekly, and annual, with costs of €4.50, €9, and €36, respectively.
In 2023, Lime electric bicycles also landed in Milan. The service, costs 0.25€ per minute and there is a 1€ unlocking fee that allows the selected bicycle to be used.
