The train is taken on the Vigezzina-Centovalli railway line, which connects Domodossola and Locarno. In just under two hours from Domodossola you will arrive in Locarno (and vice versa). he 2025 Foliage Train ticket includes a round trip, with a choice of departure from Domodossola or Locarno. You can then make an intermediate stop to admire and discover the beautiful roadside villages and their traditions. But be careful, because there is only one intermediate stop, either on the outward or return journey.

Prices vary depending on when you travel and the class you choose and can be found here. Generally during the week, tickets for adults cost €36 for second class and €46 for first class. While for children (6-15) 18/23€ for first or second class respectively. Children under 6 who do not occupy a seat travel free. small dogs allowed but in their own carriers.
