It’s called “Becco,” the suspended footbridge overhanging the Val Parina, a locality in the Val Brembana in the province of Bergamo. To put it crudely, a 16-meter terrace made of gratings overhanging the void that provides an ‘incredible view of the Val Parina and Mount Ortighera.
The work was designed by Studio “Fontana&Lotti Lorenzi – Ingegneri associati.” The project was created with the aim of creating a vantage point to complete the enhancement of the Dossena mining area system with an open-air view of the rock
The suspended footbridge

Just to understand if we take a 10-story apartment building with each floor 3 meters high, to reach 250m we need 10 apartment buildings . The void under the Beak is equal to 10 buildings on top of each other. It makes a certain yes but what an experience and then what a view with all the surrounding nature and the Parina stream flowing below you. You can experience the thrill of walking in the void and taking flight too.
