A tradition that has been going on since the 1500s, the Oh Bej! Oh Bej! is the city’s oldest Christmas market. Like every year, it returns with hundreds of exhib itors displaying traditional Milanese products, such as “Firunatts” and more modern items.

Little houses in the Duomo
In December, the traditional little wooden houses return on time. Sweets, typical products and objects of all kinds, this market is perhaps one of the most popular in Milan. Get carried away by the holiday spirit and the heady scents of each booth, this Christmas enjoy at least one good hot chocolate (with cream!!) at the foot of the Duomo.

Green Christmas 2025
Not the usual market, but one that focuses on being environmentally friendly and a more eco-friendly Christmas. The Green Christmas market is held annually at the Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia in the Isola neighborhood and offers many green alternatives, both for special gifts and Christmas decorations.

Wunder MRKT – Christmas edition
Another wonderful, somewhat unique market is the Wunder MRKT held at Spirit de Milan. On Sunday, December 7, 14 and 21, the industrial-looking location will host exhibitors of all kinds: from vintage stands to small artisans. Great for finding different gifts than usual and spending a Christmas-themed day surrounded by good music, lots of kindness and typical Milanese dishes.

Christmas Concerts
Could we exclude Christmas music in this holiday guide? Absolutely not! The big hits of Christmas have thawed out, a bit like Mariah Carey on the first day of November, ready to thrill you again in this 2025.
Candlelight: all the Christmas concerts.
Sparkling, intimate and exciting, the holiday edition of the Candlelight concerts are the ultimate Christmas show. This year there are as many as 3 shows scheduled, two dedicated to Christmas classics and one to the soundtracks of the best movies of this period. The famous Christmas melodies will be performed by a string quartet and will be staged at the San Fedele Auditorium.

Sparks of Music in Milan Cathedral
Also not to be missed is the last musical event of the Scintille di Musica concert series. The Choir of White Voices, the Camerists and the Youth Choir of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala unite instruments and voices in a magical concert inside Milan Cathedral. Tickets will be available on Dec. 3 from 5 p.m.

Christmas Concert of the Milan Conservatory of Music
On Dec. 21 from 8 p.m., the Milan Conservatory of Music’s Christmas concert will be held. The performance is by the Conservatory’s pop and rock classes.

The main Christmas village in Milan is the Village of Wonders at the Indro Montanelli Gardens in Porta Venezia. This magical space opened its doors on November 15 and hosts many themed attractions, including merry-go-rounds, Santa’s house and a skating rink for young and old alike.
Finally, the little ones (accompanied by their families) can spend 45 minutes in the company of Santa Claus on a historic Milanese streetcar, which will pass all the city’s most iconic monuments. Properly decorated, with themed music and elves on board, this activity will transport young and old alike on a Christmas journey that is as magical as it is fun.
