Brunch, that irresistible fusion of breakfast and lunch, has become a true weekend ritual for the Milanese and beyond.
But what exactly does this culinary tradition that has taken the Lombard capital by storm consist of? Imagine a table set with a variety of dishes ranging from scrambled eggs to pancakes, via gourmet toast, creative salads and sweet temptations. All accompanied by coffee, fresh juices and, why not, even a mimosa or spritz for the more daring.
This custom, born in the United States in the 1930s, has quickly spread around the world, arriving in Italy and conquering Milan with its versatility and cosmopolitan appeal.

Today, the city offers a myriad of options for brunch lovers: from lavish buffets in luxury hotels to more informal and trendy offerings in neighborhood bistros. There is no shortage of ethnic variations, such as Lebanese brunch or Japanese-Peruvian fusion, nor vegan and gluten-free options to please all palates and dietary needs.

Hotel Gallia
At the city’s chicest hotel, “Finally Sunday” Sunday brunch at the hotel has arrived on select dates: March 16, April 20 and May 11 But we’re going for it anyway. At the Gallia you can have breakfast while not being a guest. And it is so plentiful that it can easily count as Sunday brunch as well. Sunday hours are 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Guests will be treated to an exclusive dining experience. We have experienced it and it is truly spatial
Everything is curated and extremely quality, you can choose to serve yourself at the buffet or a la carte. At the buffet you can find everything you want, brioche, muffins, croissants, and viennoiserie, bread (lots of different kinds), butter, jam, fruit, milk and cereal, and so much more( waffles, crepes, and pancakes can be found a la carte). Then there is the savory department: cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, sausages, potatoes, various kinds of bread (all by Davide Longoni), hummus, selection of smoked fish.
But we are not going to list everything or else it is no longer a surprise. However you understood it is something formidable, a majestic buffet. It is not really to be considered brunch for all intents and purposes but it can be considered as such. We recommend it.
