A short distance from the submerged forest, you can go on to discover an enchanting place: the Baia del Bogn.
About an hour and a half from Milan, by car, you can pretend you are on vacation. This place is heavenly! Bogn Bay is the result of the accumulation of marine sediments in ancient times, the subsequent transformation into limestone and dolomitic rocks, and the erosive action of glaciers and waters that sculpted the coast during the ice ages.
This place is located in the area of Riva di Solto, on the Bergamo side of Lake Iseo. The bay has small pebble beaches and flat grassy areas ideal for lounging and sunbathing.
It is possible to swim in the cool waters of the lake, with due caution, especially in the areas of the small beaches and caves hidden along the bay. The small beach is sunny mainly in the morning, while in the afternoon it tends to be shaded. The inconvenience concerns the toilets: there is only one chemical toilet.
There is a kiosk in the place, with tables and chairs, offering sandwiches, pinsa, salad bar, cold drinks and ice cream.
Baia del Bogn is easily reached from Riva di Solto by a pleasant walk along the lake, and offers the opportunity to relax and bathe in a picturesque natural setting. Recommended parking is on Via Porto, if you are coming from Milan, you will find it on the right. Be careful not to miss it, because then it is not easy to turn around.
The entrance is free and the view is crazy. Many people decide to reach it via lake, by canoe, boat or kayak to take dips in the emerald water.
The place can be visited in warm weather to enjoy its waters, but forget sunbeds and umbrellas, the area is wild.
