The Romagna-style Casamadie opened just a few weeks ago in Milan (Via G. Meda 11), offering an oasis of tranquility in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of city life. Led by Paolo Magagnin and Luca Nibali, the restaurant combines artisanal quality with a Northern European aesthetic, enriching the experience with interactive cooking workshops (the “Paolo Experience”).
What to eat at Casamadie
The menu, designed to make everyone feel welcome with plant-based and gluten-friendly options, spans the entire day. It starts with brunch and breakfast, featuring a mix of bold flavors ranging from assorted bagels—such as chicken or vegan—to timeless classics likethe English Breakfast (17 euros). Sweet baked goods range from pancakes (classic or protein-rich) to French toast in creative variations such as peach and tiramisu.
Starting at 12:00 p.m., lunch highlights include traditional Danish Smørrebrød served on artisanal rye bread, the innovative Tamago Sando, the Club Sandwich, and hot bowls like the Thai Meatball Bowl. The“Go Healthy” option also lets you create a customized, balanced meal.

For a quick yet thoughtful meal, the kitchen prepares tempting high-hydration focaccias. Standouts include the focaccia with prosciutto and cream cheese (9 euros), the delicate salmon & cream cheese (10 euros), or heartier options like the Ham & Cheddar Melt (8 euros) and the Hummus & Crunchy (8.50 euros).
In addition to an exclusive coffee blend, the drink menu surprises with colorful Superfood Lattes (including Ube Vanilla and Greens Matcha) and refreshing beverages enhanced with innovative Cold Foam. There’s something for kids, too, with dedicated options and portion sizes, from classic toast to mini pancakes.
Featured Experiences
While the ground floor is dedicated to relaxation, the basement is the vibrant, interactive heart of the venue. Here, a large communal table seating 25 takes center stage, serving as the setting for the Paolo Experiences: informal workshops where guests can get their hands dirty making fresh pasta, bread, and risotto under Magagnin’s expert guidance. There will also be masterclasses with international chefs to explore cuisines from around the world, from Mexico to Japan.
