Waterways in Mediolanum
The exhibition traces the close relationship between urban life and water in Roman times. The exploitation of water for the most diverse purposes (defensive, productive, hygienic, recreational, etc.) is one of the most relevant aspects of the Roman world.
Starting with Milan, whose connection with water determined its flourishing and prosperity over the centuries, the exhibition illustrates the many uses of this resource, from the defensive system, to the imposing Herculean baths, to craft productions. The traces of the past prove illuminating in giving us back the image of a humanity in close relationship with water: not just a commodity to be exploited, but an indispensable element of the imagination.

Rodin and the dance
Another upcoming exhibition, this time at MUDEC, on Rodin, in collaboration with the MusΓ©e Rodin in Paris. From October 25, 2023.
This edition at Mudec takes its cue from the corpus of small terracottas that Rodin dedicates to dance movements, also the result of an encounter with Cambodian culture, finally arriving at the language of contemporary dance and choreography.
The core of the exhibition is based on materials on loan from the MusΓ©e Rodin (about 60 works including original photographs, drawings and sculptures–among them the highly prized terracotta dancers from the series dedicated to the Parisian master’s dance movements), counterpointed by a selection of Cambodian objects from ethno-anthropological museum collections (prints, small sculptures, musical instruments, puppets and shadows).

Goya. The Rebellion of Reason
The exhibition on Goya, a famous Spanish artist, arrives at the Royal Palace on Oct. 31. An important opportunity to discover the entire artistic journey of the Spanish master developed over a long historical period: Goya lived through the end of the Old Regime, the era of the Enlightenment and the French Revolution, the Napoleonic wars, the absolutist restoration, and exile. Through the seven thematic sections it will be possible to discover how the artist was able to transform painting into a revolutionary language capable of breaking both with established plastic rules and systems and with the imitation of models.

Martin Parr. Short & Sweet
Exhibitions in Milan include the one just opened at MUDEC, a compendium of the photographic work of Martin Parr, a renowned British photojournalist. A journey through his works (about 60 photos), telling the story of the world as seen through the biting irony of this man and his machine. An edgy chronicle, unfiltered and out of rhetoric, sometimes told with sarcasm, Martin Parr’s images take a critical yet humorous look at the everyday lives of us all.

You Are Green
A somewhat peculiar exhibition because it is not inside but traveling around the city. This is the first exhibition en plein air dedicated to the great Verdi. Do not think it is something shoddy or trivial; on the contrary. The excitement is unique, and we have been there. See here. Hearing Verdi’s voice, seeing the Milan of the 1800s is something incredible.
Inside Monet
Same thing is Inside Monet but all dedicated to the great impressionist artist. Professional actors accompany you through the streets of Milan making the experience unforgettable. You will dive inside the painter’s paintings, his water lilies, his tulips. Unique, beautiful. An exhibition as you have never experienced it.
Juergen Teller i need to live
Continuing with photographic exhibitions in Milan, we also point out that of the well-known Juergen Teller, known worldwide for his works depicting famous people, editorial provocateurs for major publications and original fashion campaigns. An exhibition that summarizes the artist’s feelings in the face of the tragic incidents that marked his life. Through his shots he acknowledges the fragility of human existence and celebrates the importance of being alive.

Picasso. The metamorphosis of the figure
The Picasso exhibition opened a few days ago. A celebration of the 50th anniversary of the painter’s death by tracing Picasso’s extremely rich output , from his early to later works, in light of his love for ‘primitive‘artistic sources, for ‘primitive art. It is important to let the public know how Picasso grasped the essence and meaning of African art and assimilated it into his lifelong production. The exhibition consists of a core of Picasso’s paintings, drawings and sculptures from major European museums dedicated to the artist. In the exhibition itinerary, these works will be placed in dialogue with artifacts of African art and and beyond. The exhibition aims first to explore the dialogue between Picasso and the cultural sources that influenced him from the beginning of his career with a focus on the study for Les Demoiselles d’Avignon.
