It can only be reached on foot. The lodge is tiny. Just a love nest for two. We are two and a half hours from Milan, in Usseglio where this lovely refuge suspended in the void is located. The structure stands at an altitude of 1,600 m. Made of fir wood and with large windows that allow for breathtaking views.
But in what sense suspended in the void? Yes this is the feeling one gets when entering it. The little house sits right above the void, much of the interior walls are made of glass. Floor included from which you can see the whole valley below. For an immersive and special stay.

Post Airplane
In Brembate di Sopra, about an hour from Milan, you can sleep in a 1968 postal plane, a Fokker 27. The plane, after a makeover, has become a very special accommodation where you can stay and experience something out of the ordinary.
