Here is a selection of the best romantic restaurants in Milan, also perfect for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries or a simple intimate dinner with your sweetheart.
That then a romantic restaurant can also be a trattoria, not necessarily the super chic place, on the contrary. What matters is the companionship and the chemistry that is created between you.
The company
Opened in 2019, The Society is a high-class gourmet restaurant whose beauty lies in not pulling itself up for anything when it would have every right to do so; on the contrary, you feel at ease, welcomed, at home, among friends, relaxed and serene. Exceptional ambiance, sublime food and equally unique cocktails. Just think that you can find over 100 types of gin here. In case you’re in the know. Three rooms each with a different, colorful, fun and refined wallpaper with vintage photos on the walls, real, family photos of the owners. And each with its own playlist, so you get an experience based on where you sit. The cuisine of chef, Andrea, the soul of the restaurant, will take you on a journey of incredible flavors. Already noted by the Michelin Guide, their goal is to get a star.
Prices are more or less for such a place: 75 euros for the 3-course Sharing menu and 95 euros for the 5-course Exploration menu, or choose a la carte.

Arcane T4 Bistrot
T4 Bistrot is to be listed among Milan’s intimate and cozy restaurants for its atmosphere, exposed brick, pastel colors and dishes that speak just by seeing them. A non-fusion but confusion cuisine as chef Nicolas defines it because he has done a lot of traveling in his life and this has given him a way to go beyond, break barriers, try, experiment and bring home pieces a bit everywhere. He has also been a participant in 4 Alessandro Borghese restaurants.

Innocent Evasions
Romantic little restaurant with a Michelin star but low prices, in the Politecnico area. Entering Innocenti Evasioni you will be greeted by an environment that mixes tradition and innovation. Gloria Osteria
We are right in the center right in front of the Piccolo Teatro. A place to be included perhaps among the most peculiar instead of the most romantic in Milan, but if you take your sweetheart there you will still make a good impression and have a nice evening. The interior is amazing. From the lights to the decor, to the taps in the bathroom, to the pink uniforms of the waiters. If you are looking for a different venue from the usual absolutely Gloria. Italian cuisine a bit revisited. Milanese prices. We’ll link the menu so you can give it a read and understand beforehand how much you’re going to spend.

Antica Osteria il Ronchettino
A journey back in time awaits you at Antica Osteria il Ronchettino, an elegant 19th-century farmhouse where the history of Milanese cuisine is told through traditional dishes. Bone-in cutlet fried in butter, Milanese risotto and many other “classics” that we love are prepared here in a very special way. We had the risotto al salto, prepared with the Rosa Marchetti variety of rice, which ensures a firm grain, whipped with a sauce of seasonal vegetables, cheese and premium butter, and served with an almond sauce and a mushroom ragout. Divine! The wines are also excellent. You can find their menu here.
What about the location? Definitely “Instagrammable.”

The kitchen offers traditional Lombard dishes revisited with a touch of creativity. Here you can enjoy traditional Milan flavors such as saffron risotto, ossobuco, rossobuco, rosticciata, cassoeula, and the legendary cotoletta. Giacomo Bistrot
From the same family as Giacomo Arengario is the Bistrot in the Piazza Cinque Giornate area. A cuddly place to sit and gaze into each other’s eyes and spend a sweet evening in the company of your sweetheart. If in addition you combine this with excellent food and wines the evening is really perfect! Super recommended. The budget here goes up a bit but it’s worth it. For prices take a look here.
