We asked our readers (on Instagram and Facebook) what are their favorite places for a good aperitivo in Milan. The answers were many. We chose the most popular places but also the ones we liked and thought might be good to suggest.
Curious? Here is the list of the Secret Milano audience’s favorite places for a good aperitivo in Milan. And if you want to discover other particular places to have a drink, don’t miss our guides!
Rob de Matt
Rob De Matt is a venue in the heart of the Dergano district that is well worth it for an aperitivo in Milan. But in addition to being a pleasant location with a beautiful outdoor garden, it is also a social promotion association, which is based on a social and labor inclusion project aimed at people with histories of marginality and disadvantage (people with mental distress, political refugees, migrants in difficulty, ex-prisoners, NEETs), as we read on the restaurant’s website.
The place is worth a visit; its outdoor garden is perfect now that summer is approaching. A small green oasis where you can sip a good drink and relax in the midst of Nature while staying in the city. Healthy cuisine, an environment that supports people otherwise struggling, a very pleasant location. Rob De Matt is recommended without a doubt! A la carte appetizers. We had 2 tapas, 1 cutting board, two cocktails. 20 euros in total.
Where: Via Enrico Annibale Butti, 18 – Milan. Mondays from 12 to 3 p.m. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 12 to midnight.
La hora feliz
As the name of the place says, aperitivo is or is not the happiest hour? And here it really is. At this venue, it’s no joke. Find a buffet worthy of a king in which to enjoy whatever. 12 euros food and drink. Ideal combo.
Where: Via S. Vito, 5. Open daily 17 – 02
Wasabi
Fancy a sushi appetizer? Then Wasabi is for you. There are two locations in the city. On Ponte Vetero Street and on Solferino Street. We are about 20 euros.
Hours: Both stores are open daily 12-15/ 18-00
Kilburn– Cocktail Bar
If you are looking for a refined place with original cocktails for your aperitivo in Milan, this is the ideal place. Cocktails are decorated with flowers and fruits and during the aperitivo tasty cheese and cold cuts boards. Trendy place, dim lights, refined. Absolutely a must try. With an average of 16/20 euros per person you can eat and drink
Where: via Panfilo Castaldi, 25 – Milan. Closed Mondays. Open daily from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and until midnight on Sundays.
Mag Café
This bohemian-style venue overlooks the Naviglio Grande and is very unique. Mag Café offers creative cocktails, as well as coffee and light snacks. Not surprisingly, it falls into the Top 500 Bars. Cocktail prices range from 8 to 10 euros. Price that also includes samples brought to the table during aperitif hours.
Where: Ripa di Porta Ticinese, 43 and via Edmondo de Amicis, 22 – Milan
N’Ombra de Vin
N’Ombra de Vin is an atmospheric venue that also allows outdoor dining. Their cellars date back to 1973 and are located in the ancient basement of the Basilica di San Marco. Beautiful are the ancient columns of the restaurant that make the atmosphere refined. Here you can find wines and liqueurs from all over the world accompanied by unique dishes, such as Milanese jump rice with gorgonzola. Recommended for an aperitif.
Depending on the wine, we are generally on 8 euros per glass accompanied by a small plate of samples.
Where: via San Marco, 2. Open every day.
Ravizza 1871
Historic venue in the center of town perfect both for eating but also for a hearty aperitif. Usually very crowded, but for good reason. Beautifully full, rich and mouth-watering portions for a post-office aperitif perhaps or on the weekend as God commands, as they say, at an affordable price to say the least, just over 10 euros. Not to be missed are the desserts.
Where: Via Ulrico Hoepli, 3. Open daily 7 a.m. – 10:15 p.m.
Fonderie Milanesi
Just a stone’s throw from the Navigli, we find this bar tucked away in an old foundry at the end of a small courtyard, exposed brick and a ceiling of wooden beams. The garden located at the back of the main room provides a magical atmosphere. Our readers recommend it for an outdoor aperitif. In case of cold or bad weather, the Foundries are also perfect for an aperitif inside. The location is stunning and the food as well.
Cocktails cost around 10 euros and the buffet is included.
Where: 7 Via Giovenale. Open Tuesday through Sunday. Sundays also for lunch.
La Prosciutteria
We also recommend this establishment. Very nice indeed. It looks like a real Tuscan osteria. Wooden beams and ceilings, reclaimed tables made from 19th-century shutters, movie theater chairs, wood paneling on the walls. The aperitivo is really very tasty and plentiful. Lots of wines to choose from and a mouthwatering menu. Chopping boards range from 10 to 15 euros and with 4 or 5 euros you can add a few more delicacies such as bruschettas, burrata or mozzarella.
Appetizing and rich is a very busy place, we recommend you make reservations (0289010390). Open every day.
Where: Corso Garibaldi, 55 – Ripa di Porta Ticinese, 53 – via Borsieri ang. Piazzale Segrino
Lacerba
Some call it the bar under the house, others find it too chaotic a place. For most, Lacerba is a perfect place to spend an evening. It is located in the Guastalla area. The place has a well-appointed bar room, where you can taste original cocktails. On the menu you will find fish dishes or traditional Milanese cuisine, such as schnitzel. Impetuous, resourceful and fiery, Lacerba is an experience.
Aperitivo formula from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., until 1:30 a.m. on weekends. Prices range from 12 to 25 euros, depending on what you choose.
Where: via Orti, 4. Open Monday through Saturday.
Superficial
Superficiale also came to our attention. And being a place we also love, we couldn’t help but include it. This place is unique. Truly a gem. Elegant and refined it was a former red light cinema. Here you can dine but also have a tasty aperitif with samples from the phenomenal chef Saša Mihić. A journey of incredible tastes and flavors. Much appreciated.
The price, which includes food and drinks is 20 euros.
Where: Via Sansovino, 1. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday lunchtime. Closed Sunday evenings and Mondays.
Signorvino
Another perfect location for your aperitivo reported by our followers is Signorvino, a must-visit wine shop in the city. There are several stores in Milan. Lots of wines to choose from and cutting boards to share for your aperitivo. Signorvino Chopping Board, Magnum or Imperial. Depending on how hungry you are you can order many delicacies. Prices therefore vary according to what you order and you can consult them here conveniently. From 4 to 7-8 euros are the prices of the glasses.

Bhangra Bar
Are you a lover, like some of our readers, of places that offer large buffets with all kinds of dishes? Then Bhangrabar is for you. Just below the Arch of Peace is this bar with Indian-style décor and dehors that offers Mediterranean food and hearty cocktails. For 14 euros you have drinks and as much food included every day from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you want to have a hearty aperitivo in Milan, this place is for you.
Where: Corso Sempione, 1. Open every day.
Cantine Isola
Historic wine shop in the heart of Paolo Sarpi. Reported and appreciated by many readers for the very wide selection of wines and the cozy and very pleasant environment. Also every Tuesday a poem is read to all diners present. It is a place of our heart but also of so many people who follow us. Here you can have a glass of any wine you want and also buy the bottle, to drink or take away.
Accompanying tasty samples included in the price to make your aperitivo in Milan tasty and good. It changes depending on the wine you choose, fine wines have one price, more common wines have another. Usually with 7-8 euros you get away with it.
Where: Via Paolo Sarpi, 30. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Otto
We are happy to include Otto because we like it so much too. Otto is a lovely place to have drinks in Chinatown. Everything here is delicious, from the cocktails to the food. The wine is handcrafted, the gin and beer as well. The food is curated and natural. And then Otto’s is a very versatile, cool and pleasant establishment that also organizes lots of activities. You have to go and find out about it.
You order everything a la carte, drinks range from 6 to 13 euros and tapas from 4 euros and up.
Where: Via Paolo Sarpi, 10. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. Mondays until midnight, Tuesdays through Thursdays until 1 a.m., Fridays until 2 a.m. Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Eataly outdoors
Finally, another popular place is Eataly al fresco, the en plein air restaurant of Eataly Milano (suitable in warm weather but also in cold weather). In the Garibaldi area it is a great place to stop for a lunch break, a dinner but also a quality aperitif like all the products Eataly offers. There is a lot of variety on the menu, cutting boards and appetizers to share or dishes to take for yourself. The price depends on what you order.
For a quiet aperitif we are around 15 euros on average. If you then add something more substantial to make it dinner keep in mind from about 20 euros and up.
Where: Piazza XXV Aprile, 10. Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
A place in Milan
A place not to be forgotten if you want to have a good, sustainable and abundant aperitivo in Milan is the one proposed by Un posto a Milano, the restaurant in Cascina Cuccagna. Elegant setting but without too many frills, a place in Milan is ideal for spending a pleasant evening. The wine list is full of excellent labels, the food is “real” kilometer as they call it because most of the ingredients are self-produced. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff welcomes you. In warm weather the outside is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city center. And every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. there is a jazz concert to accompany your aperitif, dinner or after-dinner drink.
Cascina Cuccagna and A Place in Milan are two different but united realities. The activities you find there are always engaging, sustainable and for the citizenry, from farmers markets, to bee days, meetings, social supports and so much more. Everything really happens in this place and it is worth going there. You will not regret it!
Where: 2/4 Via Privata Cuccagna – Open daily from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Cortile Flora
How would you like to have aperitivo inside a secret courtyard in Milan that looks like a real urban jungle? Cortile Flora offers an exclusive aperitivo (menu here) to be consumed in a bohemian setting with a contemporary taste. Very chic and romantic in the heart of Moscova.
Where: via Alessandro Volta 7A. Open Tuesday through Sunday.
Surfer’s Garden
Inside a pretty secret garden hides this bucolic place among rose forests, oleanders and other amenities. A place that in summer organizes surfing and athletic training courses for the sport (it is a sports club inside a Milan sports center). In winter, on the other hand, it is an intimate vintage-style retreat where you can shelter from the cold inside a really warm and cozy environment. Here the bar man will surprise you with special and very special cocktails in an idyllic green oasis. There is membership to enter like any other club. 5 euros the membership. Around 10 euros for cocktails.

Kaiseki
Kaiseki Milano, located at 5 Via Paolo Sarpi (Chinatown), is a restaurant offering an authentic Japanese dining experience in a setting decorated with Japanese-style lanterns and lights. One of the main attractions is the “Aperisushi,” which allows diners to enjoy sushi accompanied by a glass of wine for €10 or a cocktail for €13. This makes the experience affordable while maintaining a sophisticated atmosphere.
The restaurant is open daily from 12:00 to 15:30 and 19:00 to 23:30.
Mi Casa Toasteria
Mi Casa Toasteria describes itself as the city’s first toasteria, with locations at Piazzale Governo Provvisorio 5 and Via Leone Tolstoi 1. The concept of the eatery is to bring back the classic toast, transforming it into a gourmet product available in many variations, including sweet, savory, organic, vegan and gluten-free options. And for cocktail hour, there is a large cutting board with vegetables, toast, sandwiches and treats. Have you ever tasted blueberry spritz? Here you can.
